CookCircle Community Guidelines

Spam, scams, and manipulation

• Repetitive, irrelevant, or mass-posted content and engagement manipulation.
• Phishing, fraud, deceptive promotions, malicious links, or requests for sensitive credentials.
• Coordinated misuse of reports, follows, likes, comments, or other product features.

Harassment and bullying

• Threats, targeted abuse, degrading attacks, unwanted sexual attention, or coordinated harassment.
• Content intended to shame, intimidate, or repeatedly provoke another person.

Hateful content

• Attacks, dehumanization, exclusion, or calls for discrimination based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or serious disease.
• Praise or support for hateful organizations or ideologies.

Sexual content and exploitation

• Pornographic or sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, or non-consensual intimate content.
• Any sexualization, grooming, exploitation, or endangerment of minors. Apparent child sexual abuse material will be removed and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Violence and self-harm

• Credible threats, celebration of serious violence, graphic gore shared to shock, or instructions facilitating violent harm.
• Promotion, encouragement, or instructions for suicide, self-injury, or eating-disorder behavior. Supportive recovery-oriented discussion is allowed when it does not provide harmful instructions.

Dangerous or illegal activity

• Instructions or offers facilitating crime, controlled-substance trafficking, weapons misuse, or other dangerous conduct.
• Recipes or preparation claims that intentionally encourage poisoning, unsafe preservation, dangerous ingestion, or concealment of known allergens.

Harmful misinformation

• Materially deceptive claims likely to cause serious physical harm, including false medical, allergy, nutrition, or food-safety claims.
• Manipulated media or impersonation used to deceive people about a matter likely to cause significant harm.

Privacy and personal information

• Doxxing, stalking, or publishing private addresses, contact information, financial data, credentials, or other sensitive information without permission.
• Images or personal stories shared in violation of another person's reasonable privacy rights.

Impersonation and authenticity

• Pretending to be another person, organization, or CookCircle representative in a misleading way.
• Misrepresenting the source, authorship, endorsements, or safety characteristics of content.

Intellectual property

• Recipes, writing, images, trademarks, or other material posted without the rights or permission necessary to share them.
• Removing ownership marks or presenting another creator's work as your own.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, context, history, and risk, CookCircle may reduce visibility, remove content, issue a warning, suspend an account, terminate access, preserve evidence, or refer urgent matters to relevant authorities. Serious violations may result in immediate action.

Enforcement decisions do not transfer ownership of user content. Removed content may be retained where needed for audit, safety, legal, or appeal purposes.

Reporting and blocking

Use the report action on a profile, recipe, or comment when you believe it violates these Guidelines. Use blocking when you do not want interaction with another account. Reports should be accurate and made in good faith.
